Le Rebel — The Outsider
As the name suggests, Le Rebel stands apart as the outsider of the Bigfoot Family. His story unfolds with a hint of mischief, having likely stolen a child's scooter in pursuit of someone who swiped his motorcycle. His rebellious attitude is captured through his cool glasses, cigarette in hand, and his raised middle finger.
This sculpture is a humorous exaggeration of the rebellious spirit we all harbor within us. Idan Zareski uses playful provocation to explore themes of nonconformity, embracing the humor in life's absurdities and the freedom that comes with nontraditional choices.
Creating Le Rebel presented a unique artistic challenge, requiring precise balance on a thin wheel to support the character's top-heavy structure — a design that showcases Idan's agility and skill while reinforcing the sculpture's narrative.
